| Description | The object of the [Inter]Active Citizen is to design, develop and implement an IT tool for streamlining the preparation, completion, implementing and presentation of systematic processes for developing:
A harmonisation of users' requirements to public service and the services the employees are aiming to carry out
A common base of values to be shared by citizens and municipality representatives
A dialogue between users and municipality representatives
Democratic processes by means of a greater transparency to all citizens
A simpler and better organisational control of dialogue based development processes involving several parties
Creating a forum for sharing experience among municipalities and other public institutions in Denmark and Norway
As a subsidiary goal:
An enhancemed presentation of methods and experience
An enhanced presentation of working methods for - and sharing experience with - other municipalities including the more than 35 process consultants educated by the municipality of Sejlflod and the municipalities in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Estonia, that are using these working methods.
What are the Special Features of the Project?
The [Inter]active Citizen is unique in combining 10 years of experience with systematic value processes (the municipality of Sejlflod), with know-how in utilising information technology in the streamlining of organisational processes (intra saphiens a/s) to create a tool that makes both a well-documented working method and a Web-based state-of-the-art tool.
What Results will the Project Achieve?
The results expected by the [Inter]Active Citizens are:
Enhancing the efficiency of the citizens and their knowledge of the systematic value process, and their participation by means of the most recent information technology
An enhancement of the presentation of an innovative democratic working method suited for small communities to work locally and in Norway, Finland, Estonia and maybe Sweden.
Which are the Intended Concrete (Measurable) Goals of the Project?
The project should result in vital improvements within the democratic proces of the community concerning the preparation, implementation, participation, presentation and follow-up of cases.
The project should result in developing a complete and functional tool, suitable for all phases of the working process.
As part of the project, at least three processes should be completed using the tool successfully.
The tool is to be internationalised, offered and to the extent possible installed with relevant partners in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Estonia and Finland.
The project is to offer decisive improvements of the way of sharing and utilising experience among system and process users.
Which Existing / Upcoming Infrastructure will the Project be Based on?The complete system will be integrated with the Web of the municipality of Sejlflod. The solution will be using intra saphiens technology for database access, security, and language/version management. |
